Holidays with Your Horse

"Thank you very much for a wonderful holiday. The horses enjoyed their luxury accommodation, as did we – amazing breakfasts Sue ! It was great fun exploring the Ashdown Forest with Hector. Would love to come back and continue the adventure next year."
Sharon and Jackie, Sevenoaks, Kent

It was the first time we had taken the boys away and we weren't sure how we'd get on, but our horses seemed to appreciate the warm welcome you gave them as much as Sam and I did. They certainly appreciated the luxury of their stables! The generous breakfasts kept us going all the way through to the evening (even without the ice cream enjoyed on horseback). We enjoyed the company of Chris and Hector on our guided rides - and highly recommend them to newcomers to the forest! The riding was amazing and we feel we've only just begun to explore the possibilities. Next time we hope to arrange some lessons in the school too. The annex had everything we could want and was really comfortable. Local pubs offered fantastic food - and thank you so much for the lifts!. Sam and I both look forward to coming back in October.

"Sue, our host is most welcoming and will do everything she can to ensure you AND your horse have a really wonderful stay at Adds Farm. The accommodation is very comfortable and the equestrian facilities impressive. I would strongly recommend the day’s guided riding to make the most the extensive riding and beautiful scenery within the Ashdown Forest. We had a great time there, thank you!"

"Just a quick note to say a massive thank-you for a fabulous weekend with our horses. We had a fantastic time in every way. Delicious cooking and comfortable annex. The jumping lesson was a great break from the hacking and really stimulated my horse in a different way. Many thanks again."
Helen and Kent , Middlesex

Fabulous ! Highly recommended. Very comfortable for both horse and rider. Fantastic food, I can't rate it highly enough. Thank you Sue and Chris for making us feel so welcome.

"Just wanted to say how wonderful our stay with you at your stunning home. The accommodation was fully equipped with a fantastic power shower, WiFi, even a washing machine. It really was like home from home. Our horses settled in immediately and the facilities were outstanding. Beautifully cooked breakfasts every morning were a real treat too. A perfect weekend!"

"What a fantastic holiday – thank you so much. Adds Farm really is superb and what wonderful riding on the Ashdown Forest. Fab breakfasts too. Cant wait to come back."
Gill and Buster , Maidstone, Kent

Adds Farm provides luxury B&B, but what that description doesn't explain is that it covers both human and equine accommodation. As soon as we arrived we noticed that the atmosphere at the farm was relaxed and calm. The horses settled down in no time at all and we were made to feel at home as soon as we crossed the threshold. The hospitality extended as far as dropping us off at the great local pubs in the evening - nothing was too much trouble.
Anita and Kate, Frensham, Surrey

Can’t believe I've only been away 2 and a bit days and only 45 miles away - Ashdown Forest is like another world. And our B&B run by old friend Sue Sandford is just perfect for discerning riders and their horses! We'll be back soon.
Wendy, Burham, Rochester, Kent

Thanks so much for making us so welcome at Adds Farm. We had a wonderful time - fabulous riding, excellent accommodation and perfect weather too, what could be better! Look forward to seeing you again in the not too distant future.
Julie and Juliet, Chelmsford, Essex

"Our stay at Adds Farm B&B was just about perfect! Sue made us and our dog very welcome. Our room was very comfortable and has clearly been recently renovated to a high standard with top quality furnishings. Sue clearly has an eye for detail, evidenced by the lovely finishing touches which makes you feel more at home than is possible when staying in a hotel. The sumptuous bed offered a very comfortable night's sleep in the peaceful countryside away from the hussle and noise of the city. Our bathroom would not have looked out of place in a top quality hotel with a fabulous shower and large bath ideal for relaxing in after a hard day"
Ian and Nicky, Cranleigh

Our camp at Adds Farm couldn't have been better. The accommodation, food, hosts, facilities, training and fellow campers were all perfect. Huge thanks to Sue and Chris for an amazing time and to Janine Lamy for yet more cracking training. I have already reserved dates in May and August next year.
Sarah, London

"Searching for a riding holiday we found Adds Farm, and after a brief exchange with our host Sue, she put the wheels in motion to ensure all our wants and needs were met and arranged for good quality tuition which covered an assessment of our riding position and our horses, involving mounted and unmounted tweaking by qualified professionals along with reviewing video footage of ourselves, our lessons consisted of dressage, jumping and a trip to a cross country course, finishing up with a guided hack through the Ashdown Forest. All the standards were very high, very clean, plenty of lovely food and above all we were made to feel very welcome in such relaxing surroundings. Thank you Sue for a great experience, we'll be coming back."
Lorraine and Michelle, Sittingbourne, Kent

Just had the best 4 days and 3 nights with lovely friends and our lovely horses in 5star accommodation. The house and rooms were perfect with our own dining room and lounge. The horses loved there stables and the especially the fields they thought they had died and gone to heaven with there very own massive field with luscious grass. The hacking was amazing as was the school, and also forgot to mention lovely home cooked food so expect to go home stuffed. Already planning our next stay there.
