Terms and Conditions

Booking and Payment

A 50% deposit is required at the time of booking with the balance payable 4 weeks prior to arrival. Full payment is required for any bookings made 4 weeks or less prior to the arrival date.

A booking confirmation form will be sent at the time of booking, however bookings are not secure until the deposit is received and cleared.

Acceptance of the booking confirmation form and payment of the 50% deposit (or full payment) is deemed to be acceptance of Adds Farm B&B Terms and Conditions on behalf of all members of your party.

Payment can be made by cheque or bank transfer. We regret we do not accept payment by credit or debit cards.

A refundable £30 deposit will be required for each Forest Permit tag when issued.

Arrival and Departure

Check in time on day of arrival is from 2.00 pm onwards.

Check out time on day of departure is 10.00 am from rooms and to vacate premises with horses by 12.00 am.
There may be flexibility in these times; please check with us and when possible we will be happy to oblige.

Cancellation

In the event of cancellation the following charges will be levied:

  • Less that 4 weeks prior to arrival date – 100% of the full cost of the booking
  • 4-8 weeks prior to arrival date – 75% of full cost
  • 9-12 weeks prior to arrival date – 50% of full cost
  • More than 12 weeks 25% of the full cost of the booking

Adds Farm B&B may cancel a booking if deposits, installments and balance payments are not made. Should Adds Farm B&B be unable to fulfill a booking for other unforeseen reasons, its liability is limited to a full refund of the money paid to it.

Alteration to Bookings

For any alteration of a booking there will be an administration charge of £20. If, however, the alteration of a booking results in the reduction of the length of the booking the reduced part shall be treated as a cancellation as set out above.

Insurance

It is the responsibility of all guests to ensure that their personal possessions are insured. Adds Farm B&B cannot accept liability for the theft of, loss of or damage to personal possessions. We also recommend that guests obtain insurance to cover unforeseen circumstances resulting in cancellation or alteration of their booking.

Riding on the Ashdown Forest is by Permit only. It is a condition of the Ashdown Forest that all riders have public liability insurance. Adds Farm B&B is unable to issue guests with Forest Permits without evidence of such insurance.

Guiding Service

In acting as a guide Adds Farm B&B does not hold itself responsible for providing any form of riding instruction. The guiding service is provided purely to accompany guests riding in the Ashdown Forest. All riders are expected to be competent and able to control their horses at all times. Horses need to be relatively fit as the terrain is hilly and moderately rugged. Riding is an inherently risky sport and horses can be unpredictable. Riding at Adds Farm and in and around the Ashdown Forest is undertaken at your own risk.

Liability and Indemnity

Except in so far as such incident is caused by the negligence of Adds Farm B&B or where such exclusion or limitation of liability is prohibited by law, Adds Farm B&B cannot be held liable for death, accident, injury, damage or any other incident or loss that may happen to guests, guests’ visitors, third parties and their respective property or horses in connection with or arising out of their stay and use of facilities at Adds Farm or whilst riding either on the Adds Farm property or in and about the Ashdown Forest.  In any event Adds Farm B&B’s liability will not exceed the cost paid by the guest to Adds Farm B&B for their stay.

Guests shall indemnify and keep indemnified Adds Farm B&B against any liabilities, damages, actions, claims, costs and/or losses whether direct or indirect and including expenses incurred or paid by Adds Farm B&B arising from the breach of these Terms and Conditions by such guest.

Health & Safety

Adds Farm B&B has taken reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of all guests and visitors. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey the safety instructions of the owners at all times.

There is a ‘No Smoking’ policy inside Adds Farm and the Courtyard Annex. Smoking is only allowed outside the buildings and away from stables, barns and other wooden buildings. If any guest or visitor is found to be in breach of this policy this will be considered a material breach of the Adds Farm B&B Terms and Conditions and such guest or visitor may be evicted forthwith.

Hard hats must be worn conforming to BSEN1384 or PAS015.

Horses must be wormed and vaccinated up to date for tetanus and equine influenza.

Horses suffering from an infectious or contagious disease must not be brought to Adds Farm B&B.  Likewise, any horse from a yard where an infectious or contagious illness is present must not be brought to Adds Farm B&B.  It is the responsibility of all guests to ensure their horses are fit and healthy prior to their stay at Adds Farm B&B and are not suffering from, or been in contact with, any other horse with an infectious or contagious disease. If any horse is brought to Adds Farm B&B in breach of this term we may immediately terminate the booking for all the guests in the party and no refund will be provided.  Further, in the event of any breach of this term resulting in our or any guests suffering a loss (including for us lost bookings from other guests) you will be required to indemnify us in respect of any such loss as set out elsewhere in these terms.  If any guest has concerns regarding the health of its horse they must contact us prior to their stay and advise us of the situation and also obtain full veterinary advice.

Adds Farm B&B stores personal data relating to guests. Adds Farm B&B will comply with the provision of the Data Protection Act 1998. The Data will only be used for the purpose of Adds Farm B&B’s business and will not be shared or transmitted to any third party.
